Honestly I can not remember what occured in last week's class. That's due the fact that my head was going to split in half and couldn't really feel anything let alone think. Nor can I think now as my head is again being smashed repeatedly with a hammer. Or at least it feels like it.
So this is about something that I think is important to knowledge and that is memory. It is easy to attain knowledge, but if you can not retain it, you can not develop it. I recently watched a documentary on memory on the tellie. They said that until a person develops self-concept, they begin to develop memories. As a test, they brought some toddlers into a room and showed them a mirror. The kids were like "Oh hey! It's me!" Next they put some paint on the end of all the children's noses and showed them the mirror again. This time most of the kids pointed at the mirror again. Only two kids saw their reflection and were like "HEY! It's me that's changed not this wonder person in the mirror!" The researchers concluded that only these two children that touched their noses realized that it was themselves in the mirror. The other toddlers thought of it as a different person in the mirror. I thought this was a fairly interesting study and it caught my fancy.
